Restoring a Stolen Childhood

Selling liquor and drugs in her family’s bar as a child, Carli quickly had any glimpses of childhood taken away from her. She was addicted to the drugs and found herself delivering and self-medicating. At 10 years old, she had been a victim of labor trafficking since she was a little girl. Soon after, her family started sex trafficking her as well. We met Carli in an aftercare home after her rescue. She has been able to get help with her addiction and funds for her education.

Carli just had her twelfth birthday, and all she wanted was a barbie because she “never had one before.” Gifts of Grace donated a cake, a piñata, a new outfit and a beautiful barbie from one of our generous donors. We want Carli to know that it’s okay to be a kid. Thank you for helping us give her back her childhood, a little piece at a time.
